SipXezPhone - Configuration Help

Configuration Settings for the SIPfoundry sipXezPhone. This should be fairly straight forward and it should be possible to get sipXezPhone to register with services such as Free World Dialup (FWD) or sipphone.com.

Important note:

Please note that sipXezPhone is still in ALPHA stage. The feature set is very basic at this point and some things might not fully work yet. sipXezPhone was developed as an example and test platform for the sipXtapi library.

[edit] Identity

The sip url that can be used to contact you at this phone e.g.:

sip:115@mydomain.com
sip:5774@mydomain.com

[edit] Realm

The "group" name on the proxy/registrar server that your Username belongs to. E.g.: mydomain.com

[edit] Username

The authentication username for the account on your proxy/registrar server. This often will the same as your "Identity".

[edit] Password

The authentication password for the account on your proxy/registrar server.

[edit] Proxy Server

Hostname or IP address of your proxy/registrar server.

[edit] Enable r-port

Check this box if you want SIP signaling and RTP packets to be sent back to the original (return) port that requested them. This setting is useful if you are behind a firewall.

[edit] Stun Server

Hostname of a server running a STUN service. STUN is an IP address "reflection" service that will allow you to use the phone if you are behind a firewall. Enter a fully qualified host name (FQHN) or an IP address. STUN servers typically are on the Internet and have a public IP address. Contact your SIP service provider for the correct settings.
